Proposal

We propose to design a hydro electric car that run on gas and water. The car will be fuel efficient, as it does not solely run on gasoline. The car is designed to help the environment, as it makes us less depends on fossil fuels and is a start to eliminating the need for them. The car is aimed to penetrate the mass market, and therefore will be priced at a relatively cheap price. We hope that this car is the start to making a difference in the world, and will lead to cleaner air.

Ingredients:

- Car Battery
- Water
- Boiler
- Motor to start the Battery and Engine. (the motor acts as a generator during breaking, using the momentum of the car to generate electricity)
- electronically-controlled valve
- piston cylinder engine
- exhaust (to release the steam)

Manual/Directions:

This hydro-electric car is designed so that any driver can use it. Rather than starting the car with a key like the conventional car, by simply inserting the car and pressing the “Start” button, the car will start. Driving the car is more or less the same as any other automatic car. To refuel the car, the driver has the option of either refilling with unleaded fuel or water. At a gas station, one can fill up at the normal pump, and if gas stations begin to provide a water resource for cars, it can be filled in to the same hole. If that is not available, the driver can use his/her hose at home to fill up the tank, or fill it in with multiple bottles of water.

Price:

The price proposed for the car is about $26,000. This way it is affordable to the common consumer, therefore making the environment cleaner and making us less dependant on fossil fuels.

Disposal:

To make it easier for the consumer and better for the environment, we propose to take back our cars when and if they must be disposed of. For incentive, we offer to give the consumer a $100 reward for returning their car to us in order for us to reuse and recycle the parts of the car.

SWOT

I bet a few of you are wondering what is a SWOT Analysis let alone why place one in a proposal. A SWOT Analysis is basically a paper that you discuss what your products Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats are. So on to the SWOT!
Strengths: This car helps save the environment. This car can help make a difference in our world today because not only does it save the environment and the usage of fossil fuels it is also affordable for the average person. The design is suited to modern needs today. It looks elegant, the average miles to a gallon is considerably high compared to other cars in the same price range. You can fill up your car with a hose its that convenient.

Weaknesses: People are obvious for their thoughts of change. The baseline is people don’t really like the thought of change. People can be skeptical of these new designs of cars. They see these “hybrid” cars and notice that they need to have extra responsibilities. Limited access to water when on the road. Save money for gas.

Opportunities: Because this car doesn’t run off of pure gas, so in the long term you save money off the ever-increasing price of gas. You have the chance to own something that no one has; you can be saving the environment with our car! It will dominate the market because of its price, but yet it has quality. People want products that are better for their buck and our car achieves this.

Threats: Other companies will soon realize our idea and will try to create more cars that resemble our idea. The steam powered engine doesn’t work efficiently, not convenient for our time. The consumer doesn’t strive for economical products like ours yet.

Final Design for Vassanero

Yay.. we finally added our final design for the Vassanero!

First Sketch

We drew out a very, very, basic design of the Vassanero, but despite being rough, its message remains...

The Vassanero

Our job was to create a product that was environmentally friendly, and could help the world. After an extensive amount of research, we soon realized how we could help the world. A new idea was born; the Vassnero. It is to be a steam powered car that runs on water as well as gasoline. It is also equipped with a battery which is charged while the car is in motion. When the vehicle is running low on gas and/or water, it can switch to electric power, adding on to it's fuel efficiency. Best of all, doesn't Vassanero just sound awesome?
